Week 5

Hello everyone!

This week has been amazing! It started last Monday night. We were able to meet with a less active and convinced him to come to church! He has faith, he just needs to put it into action. This less active lives in a member of the wards home Brother Link because Brother Link rents out his house and once we were done talking to the less active, Brother Link introduced us to a girl named Lily Hope who is 17 and she is really interested in the church! We are trying to set up a time to meet with her but she is currently already planning on coming to church next week! Then on Tuesday is when we fasted. This transfer our mission has a goal of bringing 36 investigators to baptism and President Rasmussen thought we should all fast for this goal so the different areas of our mission have had separate days to fast and ours was on Tuesday! Fasting truly does bring miracles! Recently we have had a hard time finding new investigators but while we were out tracting we were able to find 2! They are both young but they seemed really interested! I know that if we hadn't fasted we wouldn't have found them! Then on Wednesday we had exchanges with our Sister Training Leaders which was a lot of fun. Sister Unitt and I stayed in Lake Holm with Sister Taylor while Sister Derieg went to Star Lake with Sister Mcrae. Sister Taylor is amazing. She only has 1 week left on her mission so of course I was asking a million questions. I learned so much! All of our appointments on Wednesday fell through but we were still able to be productive. Then on Thursday we had zone conference! Zone Conference is amazing! President and Sister Rasmussen both spoke and gave some awesome advice. I'm so Thankful for our inspired leaders! They are truly called of God! they also check your car at zone conference and our car was the cleanest in our zone so we got the golden plates! Or in other words we received 200 extra miles this month which we definitely need! This week the church introduced the Light the World initiative which has 25 ways of doing service. One a day up until Christmas! This is a great idea to get into the Christmas Spirit! I love Christmas because everyone is in the mood to serve which is truly what the Savior would be doing if he were here. So I challenge you to do some sort of service this month. You will feel the Spirit so strongly as you do! That's all from me this week! I love you all so much!

Sincerely,
Sister Matthews

Just your typical comp study.

Our tiny little Christmas tree!
