Week 4.

Sister Matthews has more thanksgiving leftovers than she knows what to do with. She's doing great!

Hello everyone!!! 

This week has been great! On Wednesday we had new missionary training #2 where we sit in a room for 4 hours and listen to President Rasmussen and Sister Rasmussen give us advice on how to be progressing missionaries so that was pretty cool. President Rasmussen is the best. That night we had a pre Thanksgiving dinner with a less active family which was basically just pizza but it was still amazing. Thanksgiving was great! In the morning the missionaries in south half of our mission all got together for 3 hours and we all played sports which was fun. President Rasmussen showed up in a suite and tennis shoes and he played volley ball with us. That was fun. Then we had our dinner appointment with the Murdocks. They're a great family. I ate so much it was great. They made this snickers salad which was amazing. They also had a chocolate toffee pie which is to die for. They also gave us a ton of leftovers. Then we went to a less active family and they gave us leftovers as well. Then the members we are living with gave us more leftovers. I could have Thanksgiving for a week I'm so excited. Then on Friday we committed our 10 year old investigator Andrew to be baptized on January 6th! I'm so excited! He may only be 10 but he is insanely smart. He's already read the Book of Mormon 3 times. That was definitely the highlight of my week. I was also told I was soliciting souls this week so that was fun. We also tracted into a lot of Jehovah's Witnesses this week. They all lived on the same street. That was an interesting experience. That's about all that happened this week. All our other appointments either weren't there or rescheduled. I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! The Lord gives us so much to be thankful for! We shouldn't take it for granted! Especially the knowledge of the Restoration. This message is so important we should share it with everyone we meet! I love you all so much!

Remember the post where Chelsea talked about the MTC trying to kill her? She got a concussion during her last week in the MTC that isn't healing and will be returning home tonight to get the rest she needs to recover. Our parents will be taking her to see a neurologist. Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello everyone! This week has been great! We've been working with a lot of less actives this week and we have been able to see their faith grow little by little. We even saw one family at church yesterday! It was amazing! They loved it. They even invited us over fr Thanksgiving even though we already have plans. We told them we would "stop by" haha! Then we taught a lesson to an investigator about the Book of Mormon. She has been struggling with reading it because she thinks she only needs the Bible. By the end of the lesson she said she was about to tell us that she doesn't want to meet anymore but she said there was a small itch in her brain telling her to keep reading the Book of Mormon! I'm so thankful the Holy Ghost was able to tell her to keep reading otherwise she would've dropped us!  On Tuesday  we had District meeting and we set a goal as a district to get 6 new investigators this week. Week 5

Hello everyone! This week has been amazing! It started last Monday night. We were able to meet with a less active and convinced him to come to church! He has faith, he just needs to put it into action. This less active lives in a member of the wards home Brother Link because Brother Link rents out his house and once we were done talking to the less active, Brother Link introduced us to a girl named Lily Hope who is 17 and she is really interested in the church! We are trying to set up a time to meet with her but she is currently already planning on coming to church next week! Then  on Tuesday  is when we fasted. This transfer our mission has a goal of bringing 36 investigators to baptism and President Rasmussen thought we should all fast for this goal so the different areas of our mission have had separate days to fast and ours was  on Tuesday !
